Entry Level Database Administrator, Government Affairs

Our Government Affairs office (GAO) is seeking a Database Administrator, to join our team in Philadelphia, PA. The Database Administrator position is a Government Affairs Office support role. This individual will be focused on the management and administration of GAO’s grassroots advocacy software system with the goal of effectively measuring and improving our grassroots advocacy efforts and involvement. The administrator will develop and maintain the database as well as proactively produce reports aimed in increasing participation of select advocacy groups.

• • Support the divisional goals and objectives of the Government Affairs (GAO) by managing the existing grassroots advocacy software.
  • Proactively edit, enhance, and track GAO’s efforts through the grassroots advocacy software.
  • Input advocacy activities including mass activities and individual meetings into the grassroots advocacy system.
  • Provide administrative support and systems implementation to ensure efficient office operations.
  • Maintain and track statistics or other records as required.
  • Run reports and create queries to support the GAO’s needs to enhance the communications programs to invested stakeholders.
  • Input the necessary data to pull the most accurate and up-to-date information.
  • Interface with the grassroots advocacy software’s account executive, BAYADA’s application management office, data warehouse office, and any additional BAYADA technical offices needed to maintain a healthy database system.
  • Prepare the divisional budget as requested.
  • Maintain office specific documents, spreadsheets, databases, as required.
  • Answer telephones and assist callers including placing callers into voicemail, process telephone messages and greet visitors.
  • Provide general clerical support to office staff including but not limited to ordering supplies, mail, and forms.
  • Coordinate equipment maintenance and repair with appropriate vendors.
  • Develop efficient processes or protocols to manage various support tasks and update as needed.
  • Assist Director and other office staff with administrative tasks including scheduling and coordinating meetings.
  • Assist in preparing for office events, projects and programs.

• • Four (4) year college degree.*
  • Ability to work with minimal oversight, take direction, and manage multiple projects independently to attain division goals.
  • Demonstrated record of excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Reliable, responsible, and accurate with an attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated record of exceptional organizational, teamwork, and time management skills.
  • Creative and willing to express new ideas.
  • Flexibility to work on a variety of assignments.
  • Working knowledge of and interest in government relations utilizing best practices and innovative techniques.
  • Proficient in basic business software applications required to perform job functions.
  • Intermediate knowledge of CSS and html programming languages
  • Advance knowledge of Microsoft Excel
  • Experience in database management
  • Tableau experience is a plus
  • Intermediate knowledge of SharePoint
  • Intermediate knowledge of WordPress
  • Experience building queries through databases.
  • Ability to travel and work autonomously.
  • Competence in basic PC skills required to perform job functions, and willingness to acquire additional software skills as necessitated by position.
