As part of our Revenue Cycle Accounting Team you will perform a variety accounting functions, including processing of payment and adjustment entries related to Accounts Receivable while ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations and internal policies. This position is an entry level professional track position and will be offered training and continuing education to support a career within BAYADA Home Health Care.

Responsibilities

  • Entry of cash receipts, transfers, write-offs/ons, refunds, credits, debits, discounts, and denials.
  • Maintain cash receipts journals in accounting office.
  • Maintain control spreadsheet for all cash receipts applied to accounts receivable.
  • Print reports and reconcile with batches received.
  • Learn various aspects of organization through technology training, hands-on learning, cross-training and site visits.
  • Assist in the creation and management of policies, practices and procedures related to the Cash Applications office.
  • Initiate and independently research complex information through compilation of statistics, analyzing data and summarizing for review.
  • Provide backup support for routine support questions.
  • Draft and distribute professional correspondence and announcements.
  • Support annual audits and compliance reviews, as needed.
  • Support the team (office and company) and provide back up as needed.
  • Perform related duties, or as required or requested by Supervisor.

Qualifications

  • Four (4) year college degree.
  • One (1) to three (3) years related experience.
  • Demonstrated record of strong interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated record of goal achievement.
  • Knowledge of a variety of office practices, operation of office equipment, such as computers, requiring some advanced skills knowledge.
  • Competence in basic PC skills required to perform job functions.
  • Ability to read, write and effectively communicate in English.
