BAYADA Hospice is seeking an innovative, energetic, and results focused talent leader to fill the role of Director, People & Culture. 


BAYADA’s core strategy is to continuously improve a culture that allows for individual achievement tied to collective purpose. BAYADA’s hospice and palliative care program is our fastest-growing specialty practice and we aspire to become the national leader in late life care. To achieve this goal, we are investing to build a comprehensive function that attracts people who are connected to our mission and provides exceptional development and training opportunities.


In this role, you will report to BAYADA’s corporate Chief Medical Officer who is also the operating leader for hospice and palliative care services. You will lead our effort to build a world-class people organization in late life care with responsibility spanning the full spectrum of people activities: mission, culture, organization planning, recruiting, selection, on-boarding, developing, and engagement.  Our team will grow by hundreds of employees over the next few years, so this is a mission-critical role that requires a highly capable and entrepreneurial leader.


  • Cultivate unique mission, culture, and success routines in late life care tied to BAYADA’s core values
  • Develop and execute against a strategic organizational development plan with workforce planning at local, regional, and national levels 
  • Collaborate with central and local teams to sharpen employee value proposition, recruiting, and hiring process
  • Manage talent acquisition of Directors and Division Directors 
  • Design and implement on-boarding, training, and development programs for hospice leadership



  • Bachelor’s Degree required, Master's degree a plus
  • 5+ years’ experience with progressive responsibilities tied to developing people
  • A strategic as well as operational mindset
  • Demonstrated ability to lead people and attain specific results in achievement of goals
  • Proven contributor who has successfully led company initiatives
  • Excellent communication, presentation and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to gain the trust of others and consistently act with integrity
  • Change management expert, able to identify and drive organizational and cultural transformation
  • Strong Emotional Intelligence/Interpersonal skills –must handle interpersonal relationships judiciously and empathetically
  • Serve as public champion of organizational decisions and values.
  • Ability to interpret operational data and support strategic people decisions with financial data and results
  • Willing to adopt innovative approaches to engaging and developing top talent that will differentiate the organization from its competition
  • Adept at establishing a strategic vision of the future based on an analysis of industry trends, internal resources, and the organization’s mission and values
  • Ability to communicate a compelling picture of the company’s future that helps others understand business objectives and their role in implementing them
