BAYADA Home Health Care is currently seeking an experienced Physical Therapy Assistant, PTA for a full time opportunity performing home health visits to clients located throughout Rutland County and surrounding territories. One year of PTA experience required.

As a home health PTA, you will be an integral member of a multi-disciplinary health care team that provides rehabilitative care and skilled nursing to clients, affording them the opportunity to receive the medical care required to remain at home.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities for a PTA - Physical Therapy Assistant include:

  • Performs predetermined exercise programs established by the supervising physical therapist.
  • Adheres to all directions within the Plan of Care as directed by the physical therapist.
  • Understands and follows safety and infection control policies and practices.
  • Assists in preparation of clinical notes and progress reports.
  • Participates in education of the client/family regarding physical therapy services and related devices or equipment.
  • Communicates verbally with the Physical Therapist regarding the client’s needs or progress, reporting any changes in the status of the client.

Qualifications

Qualifications for a PTA - Physical Therapy Assistant include:

  • Must have a current PTA license in the State of Vermont.
  • Have graduated from a two-year college level program approved by the American Physical Therapy Association, as indicated by school transcript or diploma.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
  • Strong interpersonal skills, organizational skills and problem solving skills
  • Solid computer skills; prior experience with electronic medical records (EMR) preferred
